How we read the reviews
We read every written review that Apple's public review feed returned for Blow Up in the US, UK and Canada: 166 reviews from April 2025 to October 2026, nearly all from the last 12 months. We added the 200 newest English reviews on Google Play (26 May to 2 Oct 2026), for 366 in total. Many of the App Store reviews are in French, so we translated them. A review that mentions two things counts toward both.
Most reviews are short. 102 of the 366 make a specific point about the app. The other 264 are praise with no detail (191), goals such as going viral (39), off-topic text (17), notes from people who had just started (13) or complaints with no reason given (4). A Reddit search turned up no threads reviewing the app.
What Blow Up is
Blow Up: Go Viral With AI comes from Mountains Studio LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, and has been on the App Store since 5 Feb 2025. It's built around TikTok. Its terms say you start by connecting your TikTok account, then the app writes a profile analysis. Its website describes that analysis as your strengths, your weaknesses and a virality score, followed by ideas and scripts for your next videos.
- Analyzes your profile for strengths and room to grow.
- Suggests content ideas for your audience and niche, and writes video scripts.
- Analyzes your own videos, and viral videos you want to adapt.
- Reposts your TikToks to Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.
- Suggests hashtags and tells you when your audience is most active, per its website.
On 3 Oct 2026 the US App Store listing showed a 4.4 average from 5,309 ratings, with 4.6 from 467 ratings in the UK and 4.6 from 1,012 in Canada. Google Play showed 4.8 stars, about 55,000 reviews and 500K+ downloads. The App Store listing names English and 9 more languages.
Blow Up pricing, as listed on 3 Oct 2026
Blow Up is free to download. Its terms describe a freemium model: you connect TikTok and get an initial profile analysis, and deep video analysis, ideas, scripts and reposting come with a subscription. Several reviewers describe getting the analysis before the paywall. As listed on the US App Store on 3 Oct 2026, the in-app purchases are nine items called Blow Up Pro, at $14.99, $17.99, $24.99, $34.99, $56.00, $57.99, $79.99, $93.99 and $111.99, plus Blow Up Yearly at $44.99.
Apple doesn't say which period each price covers, and reviewers mention different amounts: $25 to $80 (US, May 2026), at least £25 to start (UK, August 2026) and $99 in Canadian dollars for a year (Canada, January 2026).
Blow Up also sells subscriptions on its website through the payment company Paddle. Its terms give web buyers a full refund within 14 days. Refunds for App Store purchases go through Apple.
What users like
The account analysis gets the most praise. 34 reviews (12 on the App Store, 22 on Google Play) call it accurate or clear, or say it showed them what they do well and where they're weak.
“Great analysis of my post and great recommendations”
- Advice and tips: 12 reviews like the recommendations, including advice on when to post.
- Ideas: 7 reviews praise the content ideas. One reviewer says it beat every other AI tool they tried for ideas and scripts.
- Results: 7 reviewers say their views grew or a video went viral after they used it. We can't check those claims.
- New accounts: 4 reviews say it suits a beginner or a brand-new account.
- Ease: 3 reviews call it easy or clear to use.
The app also gets frequent updates. Reviews from October 2025 carry version 0.2.10, and the App Store shows version 0.2.62 from 30 Sep 2026.
What users complain about
The paywall is the biggest complaint by far. 27 reviews (10 on the App Store, 17 on Google Play) say they hit a paywall right after signing up or right after the free analysis, or that there's no free trial or free version to test first. Add price and billing complaints and 33 of the 366 reviews are about money.
“I'm not willing to spend $25-80 to test it out.”
- Bugs: 9 reviews report sign-in or sign-up errors, failed video uploads, a purchase error, a broken link, a slow app, or the app freezing at launch or on the analysis screen.
- Price: 7 reviews say it costs too much for what it does.
- Analysis quality: 6 reviews say the analysis missed. One found the refreshed summary harsh, one says it couldn't read their post data, and one says it reads captions, comments and view counts, not the video itself.
- Charges and refunds: 4 reviews describe billing trouble. One says Apple refused a refund after an accidental yearly purchase, one got a refund email but no money back, and two say some features cost extra on top of a subscription.
- YouTube and Android: 2 reviews say it doesn't work for YouTube creators, and 1 says features are missing in the Android app.
- Privacy: 3 reviews raise worries about data or their connected account, such as the app feeling intrusive.
- Ideas: 2 reviews say the suggestions repeat or just follow trends.
Who Blow Up is for, and who it isn't for
A good fit if you
- Post mostly on TikTok and want an outside read on your profile in a few minutes.
- Like direct feedback, a score and a list of weak spots.
- Already plan to pay for a tool and want ideas, scripts and cross-posting in one app.
- Want your TikToks reposted to Instagram, YouTube and Facebook automatically.
Probably not for you if you
- Want to try the paid features before paying. Reviewers say there is no free trial.
- Post mostly on YouTube. Two reviewers say it didn't support their channel.
- Don't want to connect your account to a third-party app. Connecting TikTok is the first step.
- Find blunt feedback discouraging. One long review calls the refreshed analysis harsh and unhelpful.
