These are content ideas for when you're tired or just not feeling it. Call them lazy content ideas if you want. Pick the list that matches the energy you have right now, not the energy you wish you had. Every idea gives you the first line to say or put on screen, the shots, the start of a caption and a realistic time from opening the camera to posting. Most work in any niche, and where the niche changes the shot, the idea says how. For niche lists, see fitness, students, lifestyle or faceless ideas.
Easy isn't the same as short. Energy is about what a post asks of you: talking to the camera, leaving the house, editing, hunting for the right sound. The CreatorZen app marks all five ideas below as low energy, and some still take close to 30 minutes. Choosing photos and typing a few lines is slow, but it doesn't drain you the way performing for the camera can.
CreatorZen starter deck v1: the ideas the app gives every new creator who hasn't picked a niche yet (in the app since 27 Sep 2026)

The minimum viable week: 3 posts in about an hour
When the whole week is low, this is the floor: 3 posts, about 55 minutes in total, and 4 days off. It's built from the lists above, so there's nothing to invent.
| Day | Energy | What to post | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | Low | Screenshot the real list in your Notes app | 10 min |
| Tuesday | Off | Nothing. Reply to comments only if you feel like it | 0 to 5 min |
| Wednesday | Low | One tip on screen over a clip you already have | 8 min |
| Thursday | Off | Nothing | 0 min |
| Friday | Off | If you leave the house anyway, film two 6-second clips for later | 2 min |
| Saturday | Medium | Any idea from the 30-minute list | 30 min |
| Sunday | Plan | Pick next week's 3 ideas and write their hooks in the Notes app | 5 min |
For the longer version of this, read how to post consistently, or use your next good day to batch a week of content.
When even 10 minutes feels like too much
Some days the problem isn't ideas. Opening the camera just feels heavy. These moves make the next post smaller:
- Keep a lazy-day folder. On a good day, film 5 clips of 6 seconds each to reuse as backgrounds: your hands typing, the walk to work, steam off a mug, your desk from above. Text over any of them is a post.
- Write hooks when you have energy, not when you post. Keep 5 first lines in the Notes app. On a tired day you only have to pick one.
- Post from where you are. Bed, couch, bus seat. A text-on-screen post doesn't care about the background.
- Skip the sound search. Scrolling for the perfect audio can take longer than filming. Post with no music, or with your own voice.
- Let a Story count. A poll or a single photo keeps you in touch with people on days you won't make a feed post.
Questions people ask
What is the easiest content to create?
Text on screen over a clip you already have. You don't have to talk or edit, and the clip can be anything from your camera roll. A close second is a carousel of screenshots, like a list from your notes app. Both take about 10 minutes and still work on your most tired days.
What can I post when I'm tired?
Something that doesn't need your face or your voice, like a timelapse of a task you're doing anyway or an old photo reposted with one new line. The 10-minute list above has 10 of these. On a tired day, the short version is the plan, not a backup.
Is posting every day still necessary?
No. Creators disagree about it, and the question keeps coming back on Reddit (here's a recent r/socialmedia thread). A pace you can keep is more useful than a daily pace you drop after 2 weeks. Start with the minimum viable week above and add a day when it starts to feel easy.
How do I make content if I hate editing?
Pick formats that don't need an edit: one take with text added in the app, a photo carousel, a timelapse or a poll. Film in the order you'll post, so there's nothing to rearrange later. You're far from alone; editing fatigue comes up again and again on Reddit (example from r/NewTubers).
How do you deal with content burnout?
First, this isn't medical advice: if the exhaustion lasts for weeks, talk to a doctor or someone you trust. On the content side, shrink the load instead of stopping. Drop to the minimum viable week and stick to the 10-minute formats. Plan your rest days too. In CreatorZen they don't break your streak, because resting is part of the plan.
